Well, being the part of Generation X.... like most of us I condemn, criticize the political system and politics of my country.........
According to me, Most of the or rather all the politicians are mercenary and are barely interested in the development of the nation......
While pursuing my graduation I heard from a professor of mine, that their is an option in the ballot paper which says that - if one doesn't like any of the political parties and need a change or new party in the system or formation of new government...one can mark or select that option.....
In the elections that were recently held in Delhi, I could not find that option on my ballot paper...

There is no such option on the ballot paper.But there is an option called 49-0 in which you can goto the booth and then get your finger marked,get your name ticked in the voting list and tell the officer on duty that you dont wanna vote.This way your vote will not go to any candidate and you would register your protest.But thats all you can do.Election would still go on and they wont get cancelled or you wont get a new candidate.

I agree with the above blogger. I have not heard of anything of the sort you are telling. Maybe you should have asked the people there. Do let me know after you have confirmed. It is a big piece of information.

What intellectual has said is true. There is an option 49-0 . All you get to do is to tell the officer there you dont wanna vote. Now thats not goin to do any difference, unless a whole bunch of ppl decide to do it and make it a news. So what we can do now it to let all the maximum number of ppl know about the 49-0 option.
